I know that Ayers says helped bomb the Pentagon and Capital buildings in the 70s or so. My question is this: If this man is a terrorist, why is he walking around a free man?

I would suggest you use the 'search' feature here on the DISboards. You'll hear from both sides and it will save everybody a lot of time.

Some of the evidence was obtained without the required court order, a technicality. The case couldn't proceed without the evidence that was excluded.

He is walking around a free man because he was never convicted of anything, the charges being dismissed on a technicality. All of this occurred in the late 1960s.

I'd suggest a google search over a DIS board search. Although you will still see both sides, you should be able to find a more complete discussion of the man himself, rather than a bunch of "Obama is buddies with a terrorist", versus "Obama barely knew the guy".
