Just spent a couple of days in Edmonton, DD was taking a campus tour of the University. What a nice airport! Easy to get around, lots of shops and restaurants past security. On the flight back to Toronto there was a family with young kids sitting behind us and as we landed one of the kids said " are we in Orlando now? " poor kid, That a long haul from out West to get to Florida.

The recent improvements have really helped make YEG a bit nicer to use. It's my home airport, though I now live and work out of the city.

Yeah, it can be quite the trip to get to Orlando. We prefer to fly United through Houston or Denver. Houston is good because it gets you below the snow belt on the first leg. Denver is a bit more "direct". Either way you're looking at 6 or 7 hours flying and 8 or 9 overall. Still, it's better than not going to Orlando!:)

Yup...long trip but SO worth it!:goodvibes

I think I want to try the direct flight with West Jet next time. :scratchin

I've looked at that one too. It's better now that the return flight leaves at 8 PM or so instead of 8 AM. But it is still just once per week on a seasonal basis and quite a bit more expensive, too. :)

We flew out last week with Delta via Minneapolis and the airport was great. I haven't flown out for several years so it was nice to see all the changes and the staff were wonderful with my boys (they were very excited because it was their first flight....that they remember!)
