This depends a lot on when you are going and to an extent which park. As a general rule if the parks are crowded they will run out of ECVs by about 3 hours after park opening. Later in the day, as people return them, they will become available again.

You might want to consider renting fdrom an off-site vendor. The cost is less than from Disney and the ECVs are easier to drive. It is also available all of the time, especially if you are quite a ways from transportation.

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including where people rent ECVs.

I just came back from the parks last week and had to use an ECV. The wheelchair rental cast member told me they usually sell out around 10:30am at the MK. They will do a *wait list* where they take your cell phone number and will hold the ECV for one hour after they leave a message/talk to you. I had to wait 2 days last week after *hopping* from MGM to MK and from EPCOT to MGM. I was on the wait list at MGM for less than 2 hours and 6 hours at the MK.

On Monday, May 13, MK did not have an ECV for my FIL to use...this was around 5pm. We went off to our ADR at LTT. About an hour later, an ECV was available & someone in our party ran down to get it.

**What was annoying was, that we could see 5 or 6 ECVs just standing there by the rental office.
But what they do is hold them for an hour for anyone who has put his/her name on a wait list.
So the ECVs were there, but waiting to see if anyone on the wait list ahead of us, was going to come get them.

Do they give you a wheelchairto use while you are waiting for the ECV?
