Hi. Has anyone rented a scooter from one of the companies off site? If yes, can you share your feedback and recommendations? My fabulous MIL is coming with us in Nov. and she wants one for Epcot. I am looking for a good price on 3-4 days because I really think she would enjoy the other parks as well if she didn't have to walk them with her arthritis. Any feedback is appreciated!

My mom rented one for my dad a few years back when we were all were staying at FW campground. The company delivered it to the office, my DH went up and drove it back to the campsite. Then when they were done with it, the company came back to the office to pick it up. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the company but I am sure most of them operate this way. It was cheaper than getting one from the park every day, plus he needed it before he got to the park.

Walker Mobility has given me the best service over the years. We rented from Care and Randy's, but neither of them were as good to us as Walker has been.

My MIL has used Walker Mobility twice and had great service both times. :thumbsup2 I got the recommendation from someone on the DISabilities board who had also used them several times.

There are several good ones. I have rented from Walker on a few occasions and always been pleased with them. Are you staying onsite? they deliver to your hotel and pick up from there. Are you going to be using the busses or do you have a vehicle capable of transporting the scooter to the parks?

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including Post #2 where people rent ECVs.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.

Most of the time I rent from Walker and have had great service, although they were late with my rental in June 2008. I rented from Randy's in December 2008 because I got a better price for 7 days. The prices run about the same from place to place if you don't require a Heavy Duty ECV for larger people.

We have rented from Walker Mobility. ECV's very comfortable, never ran out of battery juice even when we used them for over 12 hour days. Just re-charged them overnight.:moped:

We just rented from Randys. We had good service. He was right on time. Stayed at OKW and he delivered and picked up the units (2 EVCs) to the room. We went out to the parking lot and got a lesson and tips on how to use it. If you need to break the unit down to carry in a vehicle, he can show you how to do it.

If you think you would like a headlight on the ECV, then you might want to check out a different company. The units we had did not have headlights.
