My mother had open heart surgery in March and now has a pace maker. She can not walk very far distances yet.

What will she need to rent an ECV while we are at Disney in December? Please no rude comments about how awful they are. I just need to get some info on them so she is able to be with us and enjoy her grandchildren.

Thanks in advance!

The ecv helped my mother in law a lot so I would say they weren't horrible at all. All I needed was a credit card and apple scooters left it with bell services so it was waiting when we arrived

Consider having her practice on the scooters in Walmart or whatever, going back and forth between clothing racks, etc. It will help simulate having to turn back and forth in lines, or between people, etc.

I second the practicing anywhere she can use a scooter. also listen to CMs directions or ask one when in doubt. I would also rent from an offsite rental so she will have at resort and transportation as the walks for these can be long and park rentals stay inside park gates

Didn't even think about renting from offsite and having it also at the resort! Thank you!

She just reserved her scooter from Apple Scooters! She's all set now.

We just got back last month. My dad has arthritis in both knees and rented an ECV from apple scooters. It surely made the trip more enjoyable for him.

It was really great. They brought it right to the hotel room. The guy showed my dad how to put it together and take it apart. It was simple. 3 easy pieces and fit right in the trunk of the car.

It was a reasonable price too.

My MIL needed one last Easter. She found she could drive into the companion restrooms and then use the bars to help her. Instead of parking and waiting in line (she has trouble with balance), she could sit in line until it was her turn.
