ECV Rental

We are going to DL next summer mid July. My father will be traveling with us and I would really like to encourage him to use an ECV to get around as he is elderly and quite overweight.

My question is are they easily rentable at most parks? Can you reserve them and how much are they? If not where can you easily and cheaply rent one?

We will be staying at a time share (Dolphin's Cove) and going to various parks. Disneyland, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo etc.

Please help I want to make sure I have lots of good info for dad before I approach the subject. I don't think he has ever thought about looking into it and I don't want to hurt his feelings but I want us all to have a great time and help him keep up with the grandchildren in the summer heat.

I know they are easy to rent at Disneyland. They charge a daily fee and a deposit. I havent rented one, so I can't quote you a price. I want to say about $25 for the rental and the same for the daily deposit. I'm not sure of the other parks. You might want to check their websites or call them to find out.

Make sure you get there early as they only have a limited number of them and they've been known to run out.
