ECV Rental at Magic Kingdom

I've searched for this answer but I can't find it anywhere. We plan on renting 2 ECVs at Magic Kingdom for 2 family members in our group of 9. We are planning on getting there at rope drop. Are the ECV rentals before the park entrance? Can we actually rent the scooters before the rope drops at MK? Can anyone advise how long the rental process will take? I realize lots of people rent off site but that will simply not work for our group. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ECVs: $50/day and $20 key deposit that you will get back when the key is returned, so you pay $70 and get $20 of that back with the key return.

The rental area for MK is to your right, after entering into the park, but before going thru the tunnel that leads to Msin Street.
That area is open before rope drop - generally guests are stopped after that point if it is before the park opens.

Getting there at rope drop, you should have no problem with supply. Late morning/noon can be an issue with all already rented out.

The rentsl process is quick, the variable will be whether you need to wait in line to complete the rental.

The ECV rentals are at the same location as the stroller rentals. At MK, it's to the right after you enter the turnstiles, before going under the train station.

because it is a problem for me, remember that at end of day you have to leave ECV inside the gate and walk to bus, ferry or monorail, they can not be taken outside the gate. even if you drive you will have to take transportation and maybe a tram. handicapped parking is a hike to or from the park transportation and no tram. there is no drop off at the gate for MK unless on Disney buses. just saying in case you do not know
