ECV "parking" at the resorts

When visiting WDW, my partner rents an ECV, since he has a hip implant and can't walk all day. Last time, we stayed at SSR and could easily park the ECV just outside the room door, while charging the battery in the room.

In October, we will stay at AKV - Jambo House and BLT. Not sure if an ECV parked outside the room would take up too much space, but as we stay in a studio, I don't think there will be room inside the room either. So, what is the best location to park an ECV at the hotels? Lobby, Bellhop, somewhere outside near the main entrance? The elevator lobby of our floor is probably also not a good location.

Any recommendations?

There is never a problem parking a standard size ECV in a Value Resort room, which is only 260 square feet (including the bathroom). You should easily be able to safely park an ECV inside any DVC room.

I have parked one in a studio at SSR with no problems. I would park it between the chair and table and the dresser. If not there, I would park it at the end of the dresser. There was plenty of room in there for it.

When my mom goes with us, we have always been able to just park hers inside the room with us.:confused3 We had to move the table and chairs over a little to get to the outlet at Pop Century, but it easily fit inside the room with us. We've also parked it inside the room at POFQ, PORS, CSR, and AKL.

Last year I stayed in a studio at Bay Lake Towers---and they are small::yes::

I parked my scooter in the room easily; it fit between the table and the wall. I just backed in so I could come out forward.

The only problem I had was opening the heavy door and driving myself out of the room at the same time. :rotfl2:

When we were at blt this December a room parked 2 ECvs outside and or was a huge pain to get my stroller through. There was no room in the hall. I'd bet a full sized wheel chair could not have been pushed by these two ECvs being left in the hall.
