This is my first (hopefully only) time using a scooter at WDW, so not sure how quickly they usually run out. What are the chances an ECV will be available at 10:30 am at HS on October 6? I've developed plantar fasciitis and will need an ECV for our upcoming trip. I've reserved a rental from Walker for 10/2 to 10/6. They're scheduled to pick up between 9:30 and 10:30 am on 10/6. They did not have an option to pick up on Saturday that works with my flight (early morning flight), so I'm having them pick it up a day early. Scooterbug did not have availability for my stay.

Should I try to rent elsewhere for the week? Gold Mobility has availability, but my weight is close to the cut off. Will I have issues with the battery at 330 lbs (max 350 lbs)? The scooter with higher weight capacity is quite a bit more expensive than Walker even with renting from the park one day added on. Thanks!

I don't know about HS, but I got a scooter at the International Gateway about noon one time, and it was during the Food and Wine Festival! But I do know that Walker scooters not only look good, everyone I've talked to who's rented from them recently has been happy with both their scooters and their customer service.

For the Victory 10.2, Gold will say the weight limit is 350 lbs for a buffer because they know people lie about their weight. It really can handle 400 lbs officially and DH has been a bit over that and is fine on his. You could also try calling Gold and see if you can work out a deal on the Maxima if it would make you more comfortable. But you should be fine on the Victory.

With Walker, make sure you are getting a damage/theft waiver for that price. Unfortunately, the theft is becoming more and more of an issue lately.
