ECV at Disneyland

Hello,

We are making our first trip to Disneyland with four year old and 75 year old grandparents. Grandparents will both need an ECV at Disneylan. We are planning on using an outside rental company. We are still looking at hotels, thinking of Hotel Indigo or the Courtyard. Is it safe to ride the ECV over to Disneyland directly from these hotels? I am hoping to find a hotel that we can walk/ride ECV over and not have to worry about using shuttles.

We stayed at Alpine Inn and felt safe walking/ECVing to the park. To my memory, the two hotels you mention were fairly close to DL.

There are a few homeless in the area but if you ignore them, they ignore you. I never felt like the area was dangerous.

We rented the ECV from Deckerts. Be sure to plug both ECVs in when you get them to be sure of a full charge.

Great! thank you! Mostly I was wondering if there is adequate sidewalk that allows ECV ride directly to park from nearby hotels. Sounds like there is.

Alpine Inn is directly behind Cars Land. We had good sidewalks to the main entrance. We were there in February. There was construction around the main gate area. One time I had to move into the dirt for about 10 feet as a piece of equipment was in the way. They should be done with the construction by now I would think. I would not worry about the ECV pathways. Disney and the city are very cognizant of the disabled.

Be sure to pick up a disabled guide at DL. Sometimes ECV riders go thru the line and sometimes they go in the exit of rides. There are some attractions you must walk a short distance. CA was almost always thru the lines. Be sure to see Mickey and Magical Map. It was great.
