We are coming down at the end of Oct. for a beach vacation. Not doing any parks, but would love to explore Disney Springs. Do they rent ECV’s there? If not, how about wheelchairs? Always rent off site, but for1 day, not worth it.

Yes, you can get an ECV or a wheelchair. Note that they have two different types of ECV's and you may want to look at both and decide which may be more comfortable for you. entals are located near where the Disney buses operate. It is a long walk from the parking garages, so you may want to call Guest Services to see if there is a closer drop off area. It is $50 + tax and worth every penny. Gone are the days when we could pull into the small lot near World of Disney...DS is huge now and makes for a nice day trip. Enjoy!

I’m trying to remember where the buses are. We have drove the last couple of times. Where are they from World of Disney?

It is over near Planet Hollywood. Location is between Coca Cola Store and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at the BACK of the restaurants facing the Disney buses. It is a tiny storefront along a large brick wall. It is a bit hard to find if you don't have a map. I would definitely call to see if there is a drop off area, otherwise you have a long walk from the garages.

Or - if not alone, or able to wheel yourself that far - they might have the "courtesy wheelchairs" to bring you to the park entrance from the bus stops, so might have something in DS from bus stops to ECV rental area. I know they used to have them at Epcot when I was there years ago (early 90's), not sure how long/if this continued.. Since the bus stops for the other parks were relatively closer than Epcot, I never saw them outside the other parks, if they had them. And of course, I would always see abandoned courtesy wheelchairs by the bus stop left by thoughtless guests just getting on the bus, instead of bringing the chairs back to the building, like they were supposed to. I know that no matter what park, I personally always had to sit many times before I got to ECV rental inside, as this ALWAYS seemed like a LONG walk to me. I always wondered why they didn't rent them outside the park gates, then realized - it probably has some rationale along the lines of loss control. Sad.

Courtesy wheelchairs are a necessity at the parks and are located near the HA parking, but few and far between (and few benches) between the bus stops and park entrances. DS is the only conveniently located ECV rental area near the bus stop, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get from the garages to the rentals that I have found anyway. CM's have told us that the courtesy wheelchairs sometimes "disappear" and it is sad...

If I remember correctly, there was a place to rent ECVs and wheelchairs at the bottom of the stairs/escalator by the Lime garage. The one thing I do remember was the $100 deposit that was required, plus the cost of the rental.
