Review Econolodge Inn & Suites

Has anyone stayed at the Econolodge Inn & Suites on I-drive in Orlando. I am going to Orlando 7/23 thru 7/31. I am staying at a timeshare resort but check-in is on Friday 7/24. In the meantime, I booked a 1 nite stay at Econolodge on I-drive. Deluxe room supposedly with poolview, micro and fridge and remodeled. Can anyone tell me anything about it?? Thanks.

Well no one responded, so I will do a quick trip report.

We went there as planned for one night and was completely surprised. We had what they call a "deluxe" room which is just their remodeled rooms which is what I requested. I had 2 rooms, and was happy to see that there were able to give us an adjoining room as well. For a motel, I found it to be very clean. The bathtub, shower curtains, toilets were all new. There was no dirty caulking anywhere. Even the tile floor was spotless. Either we got extremely lucky or they do have good housekeeping. The deluxe rooms also include a fridge and microwave. Both were clean but we barely used them except to hold a couple of sodas. The vanity area was clean. I wasnt afraid to pull back the bed covers. Everything was neat and in order and appeared to be clean. We requested a poolview and was accomodated, but we had a few large trees blocking the view. All and all I will stay there again as long as I get a deluxe room. The staff were friendly and check-in was a breeze. I do believe they charge $5 resort fee for use of the YMCA. We didnt use it but the price was still great. For 2 rooms including taxes and fees my bill was under $90 for the one night. Not bad for a party of 5. I would definitely stay there again if looking for a quick clean spot to sleep and shower.
