Which do you think will make us the most money with as little hassle as possible?

Ebay is all fine and dandy and I know we may get someone who is desperate for what we have to sell that may be looking specifically for it and willing to pay more. But then there is shipping and packing and dealing with unhappy people if something goes wrong.

Yard Sales are great but I know stuff has to be priced very cheap and that we don't live in the best Yard Sale area.

Flea Market costs $20 to set up a table. Has huge crowds but who knows what they are looking for. Also, if it pours rain out that day, we're basically out $20.

So what would you choose?

You "could" try all three..

Ebay for items that are easy to ship.. Yes - it's somewhat time consuming, but you will get WAY more money for the items..

Yard sale for items that are too large to lug around - or an ad in your newspaper.. (Furniture, etc.)

Flea Market for items you're "iffy" about listing on eBay.. Remember though, people who DO eBay are going to yard/garage sales and flea markets looking specifically for items they can resell so they're most likely going to offer you next to nothing for the items..

Thanks C.Ann. That was another concern I had about flea markets.

Ugh. DBF is really into the whole Flea Market thing. Thinks it will be fun. I don't know.

I almost think that we may not even make enough back to cover the cost of renting the table. We have mostly old clothes, cds, VHS etc.

I use Ebay for any of the electronics. We got $50 out of an anciet Atari game system and almost $250 for a Playstation One. We've also sold video cameras & etc and had great success.

So far I've only had one wacko that I had to deal with. Nothing I did pleased the guy. Oh well - got my money and tried to make it up to him. He claimed the video camera batteries were no good - but they were fine when we sent the package. I ended up refunding him the cost of a battery - but he still wasn't happy.

The clothes - I'd yardsale them. We've never had good luck getting rid of clothes - so I usually just take whatever is left over to good will.
