I bought a pin bag with buy it now using paypal and my credit card on Oct 26. I have not received the bag. I emailed the people on Thurs. and again on Mon. morning with no response. The people have over 3000 feedbacks with one negative from a long time ago. All the feedbacks talk about how nice these people are. I don't get it!!!! I even left my phone number on one email.

Is it time for me to take drastic measures?? I know I'm covered under paypal. Is it time for me to go there????

All advice very appreciated.

You only have 30 days to go to Paypal. I would go ahead and email them telling them they have until the end of the week to ship them item or you will file with Paypal and leave appropriate feedback. Explain that you have emailed them and the lack of communication is concerning you.

I imagine they will respond at that point. If not, go ahead and file so you can cover yourself.

Considering the positive feedback, I would personally hold off a bit, assuming some crisis has delayed them. Of course, do not go past the time when it can be dealt with through paypal. IMO.

First of all in E-bay, the seller has 30 days to get the item to you.

Second - your seller could be out of town, had an emergency, or their e-mail could be down.

I was selling some items on E-bay when Hurricane Ivan came through. I was unable to have e-mail (have cable) for 3 1/2 weeks and I didn't have electricity for 2 weeks. All of my buyers were very understanding and knew that there are some things that are beyond your control.

Also, you can do an information request through E-bay and it will give you a telephone number and name of the person that you are dealing with. The worst case sceniro is that the account got hijacked and this was a fake auction (I seriously doubt - usually people well sell high priced items when this happens).

Hope this helps!

I too would wait. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Its possible too that they only ship once a week (some sellers do that).

So if their auctions end on a Tuesday then they may wait a week until all monies have come in and then ship the following Tuesday. If that was the case then in your situation it was shipped on Nov. 2nd which was one week ago. So assuming they did it that way it should be arriving any day. :smooth:

Now, I don't know if your seller works that way, I'm just giving an example.

I had something similar happen..... what I did was check their feedback and see if there has been activity from THEM (selling or buying)... if there has been activity recently, then I would definately take measures if they aren't responding !!

It is WAY to early too go to Paypal. First off, where is the item coming from and what shipping method are they using? If it is an International transaction then the item could be stuck in customs.

Also, if you have an AOL account check your filters. I've personally had a ton of people not receive my emails because they are on AOL.

they will contact the seller...they have to prove that they shipped within 7 days of your payment, or they lose their seller's protection..you could also pull their contact information thru ebay and call them and find out what's going on..just don't miss the 30 day deadline for paypal..if they can't recover your $ thru seller's account..you can contact your credit card co/bank for a chargeback..good luck!

Thank you all so much.

They are only a few states away. They also have activity/feedbacks from items well after me (mostly about how nice and fast they were).

I've sent email through ebay and separate on my own. I think it would be wierd if they were not getting an email through ebay.

I still have some time within the 30 days. In a couple of days, I will send a stern email telling them what I'm going to have to do. I do understand circumstances, which is why I always give people the benefit of the doubt. However, I don't want to lose my $50 so I will have to do something for sure before 30 days.

I just really hate having to do this.

Thank You.

Doesn't paypal charge for this service?

If you do not get the item, go to the gov't internet fraud site and file a claim. That will shake anyones tail feathers. I needed to do it twice and ebay removed the seller and their auctions from the website.

This report investigates fraud (large or small) and is subject to jail time.
