ebay this eveing?

Hi is anyone else having problems with ebay tonight, I am trying to list some stuff and I can not do it as the page will not load, its really annoying that it never does this when I am buying stuff.

Yes, we are also having trouble loading up Ebay. seems to be working now

No not working again I seem to be having trouble browsing any pages now. Are you on NTL? DH said it mey be an ISP problem

yes I have NTL broadband, it has happened before with them it is so annoying.

I'm on BT and havin hell of a problem just connecting. Just spent half an hour to Delhi telling the lady that I'm computer literate and I've already checked my connections, pinged the modem, done my diagnostics etc etc. She couldn't explain why the wireless laptop wouldn't connect either. She then said it was heavy traffic!!!!!

By the way, today is the 6th of June 06....666

I found this on the ebay communite broard, it has worked for me

In IE go to Options - connections - click LAN settings - tick the proxy server button and in the address bar type 213.105.224.12


In the port window, type in 8080

I had to enable the cookies again after however the pages are now loading fine

Aye - there have been lots of problems tonight. NTL Service Status reports:

NTL Broadband internet customers across the whole country may currently be experiencing problems in browsing to web sites. NTL is aware of this issue and working to identify and resolve the cause as quickly as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Update 21:00 - Issues appear to have been caused by a failure due to overload of NTL's DNS servers.

These servers are now returning to normal levels and investigation of the cause of the overload is under way. Browsing is slowly returning to normal, however it is unlikely that services will be fault free until morning of 7/6/06
