Ebay Store Help?

Hi everyone. I am currently trying to decide if I want to 'team' up with an avon rep to help sell her stuff on ebay and get a bit of the profit (which would go towards my next 'hopeful' trip). I want to know if anyone here has an ebay store or can help me with the fees and so forth. I kinda got lost in everything. This avon rep has tons of stuff in her home, way too much actually, and she wants to sell it. I want to get as much basic info and correct pricing and fees information before I attempt to speak with her again. She does not use computers or the internet so I need help on figuring out how to explain this better so we can figure something out. Also, any thoughts on whether I should get into a paypal discussion? I want to know if anyone has a premier account to be able to accept credit cards or is that just not worth it?

Thanks gang I appreciate any help you can give me as this would be much needed funding for my disney trip(s). She will also let me sell the regular avon products under her and make money that way too and I wouldn't have to buy the books!

Hi, before doing this I would check with Avon to make sure it's ok to sell their products on Ebay. I am a consultant for another home business and we aren't allowed to sell on the internet at all and I believe other home companies have the same rules. I know others do sell on Ebay or via the internet, but you can be dismissed if they catch you doing it and I wouldn't take that chance.
If it's fine with Avon, then opening a store is definately to your benefit because the fees for listing are much lower so you can list so much more. I had an ebay store a couple of years ago selling stuff I had around the house or things I picked up cheap. For me it wasn't worth it because I didn't have a steady item, but Avon would work great.

Does she have to check with Avon if it's items that she has bought herself? they are all paid for. I would think that is just like what everyone else is doing on ebay right? it's not her trying to get ppl to buy avon, it's more ppl buying the items she bought from avon already. just curious if you think this makes a difference?

Yes, I agree, there are plenty. But, I know in my home based business it states in our agreement that we can't sell or sell to anyone with the intention of them selling it on the internet. It's against the agreement to do what you propose. And yes everyone is selling the products I sell on Ebay and it makes me CRAZY! But, there's nothing I can do about it since it's up to the company to deal with it.

With that said, Avon may not be the same thing and then that's GREAT that you can do it because EBay is certainly a great place to sell anything! Just have your friend check her agreement before you do it and then if it's ok....go for it!!
