EBay - shipping supplies

I ship mostly Priority since the boxes are free. I do have some items I am going to list next week that would probably be better in a padded envelope.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy padded envelopes? I tried the Christmas Tree Shop & Dollar Tree tonight and they didn't have any. The Dollar Tree did have brown paper for wrapping boxes though.

It's actually cheaper to use bubble wrap and just but the unpadded envelopes in the size you need. Cut the bubble wrap to fit your item.

I ship lots of Disney pins and jewelry items and I buy my bubble envelopes at Staples. They have all different sizes and all different size packages.

Office Max, Office Depot, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, sell them as does the PO (very expensive there). Even the supermarkets here sell them here in the Northeast.

I personally wouldn't wrap my items in bubble wrap and put in a plain envelope.
I wrap in bubble wrap AND put in a bubble envelope and I have never had an item arrive damaged. JMO

Try www.uline.com which has all sorts of shipping supplies at true wholesale prices. A lot of the items are able to be shipped by UPS. They are much less expensive than ~Kathie's suggested stores. If you order online they will ship that night or the next business day.

Great idea for uline.com if you want to buy in bulk......but if you only need a couple of envelopes for the occasional item, those stores serve the purpose.

I bought some shipping supplies off Ebay from a high volume seller and was very pleased with the quality of the items, cost, and fast/reasonable shipping. They also left me feedback right away (yay) which as a buyer is one of my pet peeves when the seller does not soon after I pay, or even after I tell them I got the item ok.

I would check another dollar store for bubble-padded envelopes. I got a bunch at a non-chain dollar store in NJ. They were in the aisle with coloring books & other stationery.

I get mine from Sam's Club. They have them in boxes of 25. I buy boxes of "Size 5" for around $8 a box($0.33 each). Buying them separately at at Walmart or Kmart are over $1 each. Officemax and Staples have the same box of 25 for over $27.

Sam's seems to have the best deal and has all sizes.

I also use USPS's free boxes.
