I've been having problems getting on and I'm getting timed out during reading the Ebay thread..




What is the Shipping Assistant? Where do I get it?


If I am reading this correctly, I don't pay the .55 cent charge for Delivery Confirmation that I am usually paying now. What is the charge?


I do mostly small items, less than 3 pounds. (Usually kids toys, software, kids clothing, and some vintage stuff--Disney!)

Is the priority mail option cheaper with Shipping Assistant?

And can I get Priority Mail supplies for FREE? (Does this include PM tape?)

Shipping assistant is something you can d/l from the PO site, which will allow you to make labels, and put electronic delivery confirmation on your packages for free, instead of hte usual .55. When you bring the package ot the PO to get scanned, it scans 0 cost. If you want DC on first class (package must be 3/4" thick) or media mail, etc, it is .13.

If you elect to use shipping assistant to pay for your postage in advance, you would still pay the exact price as if you had gone to the PO to buy the postage.

You can order Priority supplies from the PO and have them delivered to your door. You just have to agree on line to only use them for Priority mail. This includes the tape.

Thanks! I thought that was the case. I will be checking this out.


Now, If I use a smaller P.O to mail things, will they scan it? I'm just afraid that they "won't have the software" or quite honestly, the "Manpower knowledge" to understand this...
