I bid and won a Game Boy game for DS's birthday back in the beginning of May. I paid by PayPal and the seller said that he shipped the next day, May 9th. June 4th arrived and we are getting closer to DS's birthday and still no game so I email the seller. He says he sent it on the 9th like previously stated and that I should wait. I received my game in the mail yesterday, but it was post marked June 4th. I emailed seller and he said that when I didn't receive the 1st one he sent a 2nd one. Now I ask you, would you send out a 2nd one or wait to see if the 1st one arrived? I know I wouldn't. So my question is this, do I leave him neutral feedback or do I just leave nothing and move on?

Tough choice Debbi. I know I sent you something and, you still have not received it so, maybe the seller's statement is legit. He may just NOT want a negative so, he sent another game. It's possible.

Positive side is, you have the game tho!!! :Pinkbounc

If you're unsure of the truth of the matter, I would reply with a neutral. He may have told the truth, he may not have...either way, it's definitely something I'd consider before buying from him if I were to read your remarks in FB.

There is a very good chance the seller sent the item out again. I've done this when an item went astray in the mail and I had a duplicate. If there wasn't a tracking number with the item then there wouldn't be any way for the seller to know where the first one was. Where did you order the item from? I've sent items overseas that have taken a month to get there. Better no feedback than a neutral or negative.

The first question that I would ask is did you insure the item? If so then it is possible that they would have replaced the item knowing that they will be reimbursed for it.

If it were not insured then the second question that I would ask is whether this person is a professional ebay game seller. If the person was not a professional ebay game seller, it's not very likely that this person has another Game Boy game just laying around to send you again. If that is the case it was probably never sent in the first place and I would incorporate that into my feedback in some way.

I did not insure the package because he wouldn't offer it. And to the best of my knowledge he isn't a game seller by trade. He also stated after I paid that he didn't leave feedback until feedback is left for him, so that made me leary. I really don't know what to think. I think I may just bypass the feedback, even though I really want to leave the feedback because I am afraid he will slam me in return, even though I paid with PayPal immediately. At least I received the game in time for DS's birthday today.

I think I would do as you said and leave the feedback alone. As a buyer, I never leave feedback unless the seller has already left feedback. My feeling is that the seller should always leave feedback first.
I have been in situations like that where I really want to put what I think in the feedback but I didn't because, like you, I was afraid of retaliation.

Just let it go Debby. At least you received it & you received it in time. I just would be leary about purchasing from that seller again.

Happy B-day to your DS from Michigan!
