Ebay Question

I recently listed a few items on ebay. This was my first time listing. A possible buyer emailed a question, I don't know how to handle.

I listed 4 seperate items, each one is a different toner for a copier. Each listing has it's own price and shipping charge.

So the question the buyer emailed is -- he/she will offer $xxx.xx + shipping for all 4 listings. I orginally said no - because i don't know how to deal with this. When no one purchased the listing, I relisted them. Then the same person emailed again with the same offer. The offer is just ok (my starting bid for ea one) I didn't pay for the items so it would be total profit. I probably would be ok to accept, but again I don't know how.

So how does the payment work and processing of listings work?

Okay, first off you can't sell outside of Ebay (ie...you can't end the listings and sell to the guy and by-pass the fees). It's against the rules.

However, what you can do one of two things:

1..go into each listing and change it to "fixed price" for the item. The person who e-mailed you can then buy each one. You can then send an invoice listing all 4 and one shipping cost.

2..have the person bid on each of the auctions and then immediately end them early through the end it early process.

If it was the same as your starting price, I wonder why they didn't just bid? Anyway, you can change to fixed price, or just invite them to bid and wish them good luck if you'd like to let it run its course again.

If someone wins multiple items, I weigh the package and invoice them with a shipping amount close to what it will actually cost to ship, therefore saving them some money. If you are going to ship in one package, make sure your buyer pays with one payment to protect yourself.

I suspect the reason they are making an offer instead of bidding is they don't like the uncertainty of bidding and then waiting to see if you win or not... Frankly I much prefer the buy it now much more than the bidding... I don't like having to wait a week to tell if I'm going to get something or not.
