I just posted two items on ebay. someone emailed me and asked what I would take for the items together and that they would pay me to overnight them. (It's a vacation item and I was offering free priority) Sooooo can I stop an auction on ebay if this person and I come to an agreement?I'm not wanting to get out of ebay fees or anything-just want to sell these items as quick as possible (to get more $$ for a weekend trip coming up)
thanks!!

I've been with eBay since 1997 ...Putting aside that its totally against the rules (and really not fair to others) I wouldn't do it. You have no protection at all with a transaction "under the table" so to speak. either one of you.

gotcha- I wasn't sure if there was a way to do it and stay okay with ebay. Okay I just checked and have another question--if I switch it to "buy it now" and put an amount in it-that would be okay, right? I've not used ebay in awhile and boy people are in a hurry to buy!

Couldn't you edit your items to add buy it now options and give the one who wants to get them quick the amount the expedited shipping would be with if he/she bought both items. Actually, I would let the person know the shipping amount before editing to add the buy it now since it will cost you more in fees. You could also add a small handling fee to cover your increase in fees.

Yes you can do that as long as it is more than 24 hrs before the auctions (or maybe it's 12 hrs..)

I would want to look at the person's feedback and history to see if they are relly legitimate. Or maybe they know something about the items that you don't and will sell at a much higher price.

If you feel they are legitimate, you can edit you listings to add BIN (as long as there have been no bids) and also that you would combine shipping on multiple purchases and that other shipping methods are available.

Haven't sold on a while but I believe ONLY if there has not been a bid on it can you do this...edit to add a Buy It Now....maybe go to sellers area to refresh yourself on the ins & outs, I know I would have to do that if I ever start selling again :)
