eBay Question about NonPaying Bidder

I have a question. This is the first time I have had a nonpaying bidder.

I had an auction end on 12/9/04. After 1 month of no contact and no payment, I filed a non paying bidder alert. eBay sent them an email about this, etc. and after 2 weeks with no payment or contact, I filed for my fees back. Well, after this, the bidder emails me that she wants the item. "It didn't appear in my win section. It went to my did not win section." Whatever, I don't know how that can happen. But anyway, I still have the item and am willing to sell it to her (This was the second time I listed it and it didn't sell the first time.) So, I sent her an invoice from paypal.

Do I need to do anything to remove the nonpaying strike against her or should I just leave it how it is?

Thanks,
Maggie

PS, I will use this money to help "eBay my way to Disney"!!!!

This is a toughy...
I've never been an EBay seller, but having been a buyer many times, I *do* know that once Feedback is given, it cannot be removed. Is a "Non-Payment" the same as "Feedback"?
In any case, do *nothing* until you receive the money, the check has cleared, the $ is REALLY in your PayPal account... you get the idea. (Do not ship the item *until* you actually possess the dollars!) The other thing is, have you checked out the buyer's Feedback? How long have they been EBaying? Do they have a 100% rating or is it somewhere in the low 90s?

If their money really shows up, only then should you ship the item. Maybe add an additional comment to your Feedback under the buyer's ID about how everything came out in the end.

Hope everything works out,
agnes!

I haven't yet left feedback for the buyer. I held off in case the buyer decided they really wanted the item after all.

This buyer has a good history - she has lots of positive feed back and has been around awhile. That's why I let it drag out this long.

Thanks.

Maggie

I personally dont give into buyers who do this because they will just keep doing it. In order for you to have gotten your fees she would have received emails from ebay about it and been given the opportunity to respond. There is no way she didnt know she won the item

However..if you do still want to sell to her then after you get the payment and all is well (even wait til she gets it) you can remove the NPB. Not sure how to get to the link to do it but maybe on "site map" you can find it or do a search on the help page..
