I have another ebay question :D I hope someone can help me with. On Jan. 15 a buyer with zero feedback won an auction of mine. I accept paypal and money orders as payment, but I haven't heard from this buyer as to how they're paying yet. That wouldn't concern me, but they have received 5 neg. feedbacks for NPB since the 17th. I sent them another invoice giving them 2 days to respond, but my question is, will I actually have to wait that long? I want to offer it to the next highest bidder and I really don't think I'm going to hear from them. What should my next step be?

I'd go to Ebay and pull their contact info. Then give them a phone call. Sometimes just the act of having their info pulled will get them in gear to pay you.

It sounds like they are dead beats. File a non paying bidder claim with ebay. Sorry. I had this happen to me several times during the Christmas period. I now cancel bids if I see that they have negs due to non-payment. I just added that to my auctions this week, and canceled a bid yesterday for that reason. :guilty:

Follow the instructions including the deadlines for getting the final value fee refunded. (Listing fees are not refundable).

In the process, the buyer will get some non-pay notices.

In the future you may put a notice in your item description about whose bids you reserve the right to cancel and when. YOu could even say that if a buyer accumulates negative feedback during or after your auction you can impose a tigheter payment deadline before you re-list. Unfortunately under some tight pay rules you create you may not be able to get a refund of the final value fee.

Did you state in your auction how many days until payment is due?
It was a holiday weekend. Maybe they went away or there was a family emergancy. It does happen sometimes. In the neg FB did it say how long any of these people waited for payment or anything? Maybe you can do a search of the items she bought and see if they are within the same (and recent) time frame. It may help shed some light on wether she just isn't paying or if something happened. The 15th was just Saturday.

I think now with the new item not recieved policy sellers are not waiting as long for payments to arrive since the buyers can start that process early. Alot of sellers are skiddish I think.

BTW, yes I am a seller too..... :flower:
