eBay, need help with buyer stating item not in box??

Ok, here's the deal:

Sold an item that ended on 3/30, buyer also won 2 other clothing items. Said she was bidding on an item that ended on 4/7 or 4/8, ended up paying on 4/7 for her items via PayPal.

Package was mailed on 4/7, I checked the items off on my checklist as I always do before sealing the box.

Today I receive an email stating that 1) she didn't receive one of the items at all (?) and 2) she is unhappy with the item description for one auction (auction had 4 items-she in not happy with one) and said "please let me know what you think is fair".

I emailed her back and said that if she sends back the package with her items I'll give a full refund. I also stated that she needs to send this back in the original packaging in order to get $$ back. I know how much the package weighed when I shipped it so I will need to make sure it weighs the same when it comes back. That is probably the only way I can make sure she is telling me the truth.

She also suggested that I contact my other high bidders and see if they got the item by mistake. WWYD???

Sounds EXACTLY what a buyer did to me last year. Said bad things about the item sent and asked me what suggestions I had to work it out. I knew there was not a problem with the item but told her to return it and I'd give the money back upon receipt. NEVER heard another word. I really think there are some buyers who sent an email like that to everyone and sometimes maybe people give the money back and let them keep the item.

Ebay can be a great tool but it can also be a big smokescreen for frauds to hid behind. Last year I was buying a dis video for a friend from someone and the guy never sent it after I paid him. After I took legal action, he finally sent it but the box was bashed in the tape looked worn. I had used paypal so I got a refund but just be careful. Don't give her a full refund if she doesn't deserve it. You can always respond with your side if she leaves negative feedback! Good luck!
