Last night I was trying to get some things ordered for our new house. We sold our house and are building another one. Temporarily, we are having our mail sent to my mom's house.
I made several purchases online from Amazon and a couple of others. The shower curtain that I wanted for my daughter's bathroom was only available on Ebay. I bought it using buy now, paid for it with my cc. When I got the confirmation email, I realized that I never changed my shipping address. There wasn't a prompt to confrm the address and I never even thought about it. Everything else I bought through other sites had me confirm my address. Ugh!
I sent an email to the seller, explaining what I had done and asked if he/she could ship it to my current mailing address or if I should contact Ebay to change my address with them. I'm afaid the seller is going to think I am trying some sort of scam. I haven't bought anything on Ebay in about a year although I do have 100 positive feedback.
If it is sent to our old address it isn't a huge deal. We are staying in the same town and the buyers of our house will take the mail to the realtor. I am just annoyed with myself for not noticing before I bought it. I probably could have fixed before the sale.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Should I do anything else, or just wait to hear back from the seller?
