As far selling them..... If you have been there before ... why not?

As far as the price, I would do a but it now for sure!!! Some people may be to afraid to wait 3 days and may be leaving sooner and need them asap.

Also, hey, one persons trash is anothers treasure .. so people will pay what it is worth to them.... thats a proven fact !

Do you actually have enough time to run an auction and have them shipped? I don't think I'd bid on something this close to the 31st. I'd be too afraid they wouldn't get there before I left for my trip.

What did you decide to do?? We've never been & have tics. After seeing your post, it was pretty tempting - that's a lot of meals paid for! Most of the auctions seem to be won by bidders w/ 0 or 1 feedback. I'd be a little nervous of that - wonder if they are legit or just bumping up prices & won't pay.

Well folks, my update is I just couldn't do it. Just didn't feel right. Besides, I am not a seasoned ebayer by any stretch and really didn't want to mess with anyones plans should something happen. Oh well maybe I should start selling with sine $3.00 items first.

But the prices were astonimcal, and I am afraid I may have given some food for thought to the ebayers out there

Even though the money was fabulous. I don't know how old your kids are but one day, they are not going to want to dress up and do halloween. I have a 2 yo and everyone tells me how fast they grow up---and boy does she!

I think from a memory and good times stand point, you did the right thing!

Wow at those prices I would sell them in a second. not even a second I wouldn't even have to consider whether to sell or not. You could get $1000 for those tickets. Thats insane!

Momtomootoo- I am really glad you didn't sell them. I think some of the other posters were correct in thinking if everyone starts looking at the profit aspect people will buy them all up and sell at incredibly high prices. A few weeks ago a Dis'r GAVE her tickets to some other family because she couldn't make it- that's the kind of stuff that restores faith-not the gouging going on on E-bay. Have a great time at the party.

Wow that's insane! Five tickets went for $1,000!!! If I had tickets I would've sold them in a heartbeat. That would pay for half a trip! LOL. I did notice the same seller is selling quite a few sets. If anyone does decide to list, I would do a buy it now and run a one or three day auction with overnight shipping through USPS at a flat rate of $12.75 (they even deliver on saturdays).

We went last year the week of the 18th and it was a madhouse and it wasn't even sold out. I can't imagine how it would be on actual halloween at a sell out event.

Yep, you did give food for thought but we didn't sell either. The kids are too excited & I agree about the buying up for profit issue.

Sometimes having a conscience is tough though - that money would reaaaalllyy come in handy!

isn't it possible this could eventually cause Disney to raise their ticket prices? I know it wouldn't happen right away, but if a large enough % of party tickets were being resold on Ebay for astronomical profits, why shouldn't they? Ok, I understand at this point it wouldn't happen, but could it happen? Also, what recourse would a person have if they purchased these tickets at 1,000 from ebay and claim they never received them? (Hope none of that sounded like I was flaming or judging, just wondering)

I think those auctions were a sham, personally. If you look at the bidders 99% of them were people with zero feedback. The sellers weren't that legit looking either. I don't think you missed out on anything! You might be able to get a few bucks over ticket price for them but not hundreds.
