before I ask for my money back? I won an auction for a pair of pants on Jan 26 and paid instantly with paypal when the auction ended. I haven't received them yet, I emailed the seller on Feb 1st. and asked when they were sent and they just said "they were sent, will check tracking info when I get home from work." I haven't heard from them since. I wouldn't be worried about getting them, but it bothers me that they won't tell me when they sent them and the listing states that they would be sent priority mail. The seller has kinda low feedback, in the thirties, but all positive. I'm wondering what some of you more seasoned ebayers would do?

If you paid on Jan. 26th even if the seller shipped the next day that is only a week..Priority can take that long but maybe they werent shipped Priority and were shipped Parcel Post which can take a couple weeks easily..I think its too soon to talk about a refund

I agree its a little too soon. I would send an email asking for an update. I would also ask them to please leave you positive feedback for fast payment and say you will leave feedback as soon as you receive the item.

That is a nice incentive to respond quickly. If you get no response then I'd send a firm message saying you must receive information or you will leave negative feedback and alert ebay.

If the package was sent and has a tracking number, then the seller should be able to supply you with the tracking number. You can then check it yourself. However, I agree with the other posters. If you paid on Jan 26, Feb. 3 is still a little early to be getting concerned. Give it more time. I've had Priority Mail take 3 days just to go from Philly to NJ!

I just sold and shipped an item and it took almost 2 wks to get to the buyer . I shipped parcel and I have learned my lesson with that!
Give it a bit long and ask for the tracking number so you can see when it left the sellers post office ~

I'm sorry but this annoys me a bit. When you buy something from Amazon, or any of the other online sellers, you get an estimated delivery date that is 10 days to 2 weeks out. But Ebay buyers expect instantaneous delivery. Not all sellers are sitting by their computer with the package ready, waiting to run to the PO as soon as you pay. Most have jobs, kids, responsibilities. Some even get sick once in a while. I usually try to send things out the next day, mostly because I'm set up to print postage online, and can just hand the package to my mailman. Not everyone has this figured out yet, especially new sellers. Sorry for the vent, it's a pet peeve.

Give them a few more days before you contact Paypal. You cannot imagine the headaches it causes if Paypal takes action against the seller, and then your pants arrive.

You are jumping the gun - it is way too early - You had a weekend in there also. Email again & see what response you get - I sometimes email the seller afew times if I have been waiting at least two weeks. Did you pay to have tracking? That is something extra also.

The reason that I'm thinking I may not get them is just that the seller hasn't responded to me. I didn't ask her IF she shipped them, I asked her WHEN so I would know when to expect them. As a seller, I always send my buyers an email to let them know when I ship an item as a courtesy, I understand not all sellers do this, but I don't understand why they didn't just answer the question. I didn't even ask for tracking, I just wondered when it shipped and that was their response, "Yes, I shipped them. I will check the tracking when I get home from work." I didn't even know they were being tracked. Also, the seller has had auctions ending later where the buyers have received the items, and I have had auctions ending later than this one that I have recieved, one of them sent parcel post. I don't expect to receive it "instantaneously", I just expect the courtesy of an answer and when I can't get one it leads me to believe that I also may not get my product. Even Amazon will tell you when they ship your item, if you want to stick to that comparison.

Did the auction specify how it was going to be shipped?

I agree a week is not that much time - parcel post can take forever. Even if you've purchased something that came parcel post it may be that the difference was where the later package is coming from.

The WORST is media mail - sometimes it's just a few days - I've also waited close to 3 weeks.. I avoid that is I can when buying books, etc.

Of course your pants couldn't have been media - but still I know that US postal can be SLLLOOWWWW - if not at your end - but maybe the seller's end.
