I just started to sell on EBAY and I was wondering if anyone would mind taking a look and letting me know if I listed everything ok---And if I did something wrong or if there is something you would do differently could you please let me know!! I really do appreciate this! I am going to sell some stuff to clear out my house a little and use the money for our next trip in January so if you notice anything please give me a holler! Thank you!!!

I am an ebay seller, exactly what are you worried about doing wrong? I don't mind taking a look if you want me to.

Hi, looks like you did a good job! Watch out, selling on eBay can be as addictive as this board! :rotfl:

A few tips (just my opinion, don't have to take them)- I would lower your s&h costs for the paper programs. I would pay up to $4 for a item I knew didn't weigh that much. Plus, if you ship media mail, it won't cost you much & you still have a little left over for handling.

I would add things like how soon you want to get paid, how soon you would like to here from the winning of the auction, etc. I'll PM you my terms of sale. Feel free to use any or all of it.

You listed insurance as the buyer's responsibility. Insurance is for the seller, not the buyer. Even if the buyer doesn't purchase insurance, it is still your responsibility to cover the item (eBay's rules). I make it manditory insurance if I am selling a breakable item. I would add that to the lamp. Other items, use your judgement. Some items I insure, others I don't. If the buyer pays for insurance, I always purchase it.

Other than that, I think your auctions look great. Check out the discusion boards on eBay (under the Community link). That is great place to get tips on selling & buying. Good luck & I hope you see lots of green in your auctions! Sbella

I agree with southernbella, good points. Also, I noticed that your second and third listings have different categories. I think the third listing is the one where they both should be, under Disneyana collectables. because the program book seems more like a collectable, if I am reading the description right. You will get more of the right people looking there.

Other than that, at first glance they look good to me.

Oh, and no matter how you ship, it is a MUST to either get delivery confirmation (USPS) or a package tracking number (UPS). So, be sure to include that in shipping costs too. If there is a problem, Ebay will not stand behind a seller who cannot prove they shipped the item, in some way.

poohandwendy is correct. Plus, if (heaven forbid) someone pays you through Paypal, you need that tracking number too. Also, if paid through Paypal, you must ship within 7 days of payment & if the item is more than $250, you have to get signiture confirmation to be covered by the seller protection policy.

Phishing scams- read up on these. If you receive ANY emails from eBay or Paypal, never click through the links in the emails to log into your accounts. This is the #1 way that scammers get your info. If you are selling on eBay, I will promise you, you'll get these fake emails. NEVER click on buttons on emails.

I'm going to add this and I know it's common sense, but I've have known very smart people that did this. Don't send the item until you get paid. If you get paid with an e-check through Paypal, wait for the e-check to clear before you send your item.
