DH and I will be in Orlando Wednesday-Sunday (leaving early tho) for his work convention. We are staying at Rosen's Shingle Creek. We stayed there last year and it's nice enough for a convention.
Friday and Saturday mornings I get some pool time while DH has meetings (Thursday the wives have to go to the booorrrriiiinnnnggggg meeting). I'm looking forward to getting some sun like I did last year. I got out there both days around 9AM and stayed until noon. In the afternoons the pool is full of convention goers and not very fun for me.
Last year, they took us to Universal on Friday night. This year, nothing. We are on our own Thursday and Friday, starting about 3PM.
We might go to CityWalk or Downtown Disney. I am nagging DH to try one of those Disney mini-golf courses we never have time for on vacations.
Any good local restaurant recommendations near Shingle Creek? I'd rather find a little local gem than stick with the national chains.
