Eating TS solo?

I took the initiative, to eat at two TS resteraunts. At the Blue Bayou, and Cafe Orleans. I am nervous, but I will get through it, and so will you!!

I've dined solo at Blue Bayou. I'll admit I was a little self-conscious while in the lobby waiting to be seated, but it all evaporated once I was at my table. I think you'll do fine. And be sure to look for an elderly gentleman up on the balcony playing guitar. That's Ernie, the last CM to be hired personally by Walt.

Ok - You guys are GREAT! While reading your posts, I was laughing thinking that they needed Rocky theme music playing behind them! I was thinking "YES YES I CAN DO THIS!!!".

So thanks again everyone. Now I'm so excited about going, that eating alone is way down on the tottem pole!

Thanks for all of your help! I wanted to let you know what I booked:
9/8 - LeCellier
9/9 - Boma
9/10-Kona Cafe
9/11-Hollywood and Vine

It was suggested that I try lunch ADRs since it would be less people, and therefor I would feel less awkward. But, the restaurants either didnt serve lunch, or the dinner menu looked better than the lunch.

So thanks again for all of your help. You know I will report back after my trip. Thanks for making an uncomfortable situation a LOT better!

watch it at both Kona Cafe and Le Cellier - my problems they sat me besides a single male.

now in both places the guys were nice and everything. but gee! I don't go to WDW to find a mate.

Cape May Cafe didn't (thank goodness). besides my heart belongs to Goofy!!!

I would love to do that, sorry its taken a while to answer but I am on night shift this week and I always go a bit brain dead (12 shifts do that to your )

Haven't done WDW solo yet, but I've traveled extensively alone, and feel comfortable everywhere if I have a book with me. Depending on what you carry around the parks, you might not want to carry even a paperback, but if you're going to dinner from your hotel and then back it shouldn't be as tough.

I think Boma would be fine -- I wouldn't hesitate. I'd feel more self-conscious at some of the World Showcase restaurants than the resort restaurants (but I'd do them anyway!). And since you serve yourself, you wouldn't have to linger any longer than you cared to when you're ready to go.
