Eating on vacation

Vacations are play it by ear---some nights my daughter and I go to a fancy restaurant, other times its ice cream and fudge for dinner! We do try to stay away from the fast food places we have here though--we tried a place called chick-fil-a I think it was one vacation but that was really gross.

You guys sound like us. We'll have a banana split for dinner once in a while during the summer. :upsidedow

Definitely restaurants not found at home. After that, a mix of diners and fine dining. We try to find good ethnic if it's recommended. I'm not opposed to looking at Zagat if we're near a metropolitan area. Our most common vacation is to the beach, Hatteras Island, and we eat fresh catch every day.

We do a mix of all three. :)

Our rule is if we have it at home, we aren't eating there on vacation. Like DH says, "we didn't come all this way and pay all this money to eat at (fill in the blank)."

Our upcoming Disney trip is just DH and I and we're eating at a bit more adventurous places than we'd normally try with the kids. :)
