Can you eat and drink on the Disney buses? I was hoping to feed my kids breakfast (bagels, granola bars, etc.) on the way to the parks.

I think the driver says "for the safety and comfort of those around you no eating or drinking"........sorry.

People eat snacks on the bus all of the time. I don't see it as being a problem as long as it's something that's not going to make a huge mess.

No. We've seen the bus driver telling people to put food away while we are on the buses. I have seen drinks being carried on with nothing being said but never food being allowed. It also has signs all over the bus stating no food allowed. Sorry.

It really depends on the driver.

Some drivers are very strict about not allowing food or drink on the bus. I can't disagree with them -- you should see the slobs that people can be... spilling food and drink all over the place, leaving thier trash on the bus... It can be quite disgusting.

I personally strongly discourage it... however, if you must take it on my bus, I ask that you be respectful, and take all trash with you, and to not make a mess.

We never ate on the bus, but isn't it kind of hard to take your refillable mugs to the parks without taking them on the bus? I actually never even thought about it, and no one ever said anything to me. Maybe it's ok as long as I don't drink out of it ?;)

Do you really take oyur mug to the park? I don't think I've ever seen anyone take one before although it must be so. There is no way I'd lug that thing around! LOL! Even in a backpack it would be a pain.

The bus drivers generally don't say much if your mug or cup has a lid on it.
I shudder to think about sitting on some child's granola crumbs. UGH. Please, take the time to feed the kids in the room or bus stop.

Even worse, sticky juice or soda!

IMHO, it's unrealistic to expect kids (and many adults) to be able to eat on a bus without leaving some crumbs or spills behind. I think the "please no eating or drinking on the bus" rule is a good one.

I have taken my refillable mug on the bus with my second cup of coffee in the morning. I fill the mug on my way to bus stop. So by the time the bus gets there it would be close to ½ full. The coffee would be finished before I get to the par. Rinse the mug at the park and is ready to pick up a refreshment when I return to the resort. No need to return to the room to pick up the mug.

You've never seen anyone in the parks with a refillable mug? I saw them constantly. Yes, we would sometimes take the mug with us. Actually, I sorta thought that was the point of the mugs....you pay a lot for them, but you can fill them with soft drinks before going to the parks. To each their own, but we didn't find it to be a pain at all. Now carrying a backpack all day, that's a pain and I can't imagine lugging one around the parks. LOL!

CdnDisneyNut.....That's pretty much exactly what we did. If we didn't take it to the parks what was the point in paying $12 for the thing? We would hardly spend enough time in the resort to cover the cost if we only used it while we were there.

My question to Tyler was really a tongue in cheek question. I can't imagine a bus driver telling me I couldn't take a WDW Resort refillable mug on the bus. In fact, when the cashier at Roaring Forks was trying to talk me into buying one (she was a good salesperson, we bought 2) this was a major selling point. "Look at all you'll save if you don't spend $2.50 every time you want a coke?"

I really hadn't seen any mugs at the park. Now that I say that I will probably see thousands! LOL! We buy the mug for use at the resort. In the morning I will go to the food place and grab a cup of coffee and bring it back to the room while everyone else is getting ready. I guess we get a lot of use out of it since we spend a lot of time at the resort. I plan at least hanging by the pool every other day for half a day. If we get in early then I might grab the mug and get a drink then too. If I'm thirsty at the parks I buy a drink there. If I brought the mug I would end up drinking it right away or spilling it! LOL! I figure $12 is nothing since I use the mug at least 10 times during my stay. It pays for itself in very little time. As far as backpacks, we do bring one but there is no way I could actually carry it around all day either. We keep it in the stroller and it usually stays there the entire day since it only has a change of clothes for the little one and some suntan lotion.

Have brought coffee(with a lid) on when the bus shows up and not finished yet.I always ask the driver 1st if it is OK.

I can believe it.After staying at the WL this Xmas,I couldn't believe how some people can be in the concierge lounge.Milk, cereal, food, dumped on the floor. They had to throw out food on a few occasions because of kids and adults grabbing it with their bare hands and putting it back. I guess they feel if they are paying for it they can do whatever they want.

I used to do the same thing as some others with my refillable mug-get a cup of coffee at the food court to have on the bus on the way to the park, then stop and fill the cup again when I get back from the park. But here's a tip from a long distance truck driver who was a student of mine (night school)-straws! In the morning on the bus, I always keep the lid on my mug and drink my coffee from the straw I've put through the hole. By not tipping the mug, I never spill any coffee. That's why I always bring some straws from home on vacation-some resorts don't have straws. OK, so maybe that sounds wierd-drinking coffee with a straw?! But I've never spilled.
