Has anyone eaten breakfast or lunch at the castle? I am curious of what you thought. How was the food? Was there much interaction between the characters and the guest? And I see that at lunch an appetizer is served...what is the appetizer?

thanks:thumbsup2

We ate at the Castle probably 2 summers ago. We had a wonderful time and a GOOD meal. I think I had the pasta and between the 4 of us we had a little of everthing. We went for my daughter who was 8 at the time but she still loved it. Her twin brother was not so thrilled beforehand but had a great time. Mary Poppins was the funniest with reprimanding the kids (in her gentle way) all the time. I printed out a very formal invitation from the princesses to this very special luncheon including the fact that unruly siblings will not be tolerated. I printed it in gold and then wrapped it up in a ribbon and gave it to her on our day. It was so much fun. She is now 10 and I think she stiil believes it!! I would highly recommend it!

Had breakfast there in 2002 and loved it. Great charecter interaction and the food was very good.

Ate their last month. The appetizer is like a sampler. The two things I remember are a cold chicken (grilled maybe?) and a BLT salad. I also seem to recall some fruit (Grapes?), but the kids ate those right up! There was probably more, but we were starving and ate it pretty fast.

We ate breakfast there in 2005 and it was great! Had a window seat overlooking the carousel. The food was good and interaction was good. We did the lunch this past December 2006. The food was okay. Appetizer was some cold cuts & cheese if I remember correctly. I had the pasta and I think DH had grilled fish? He said it was okay. The kids enjoyed their food, especially the dessert! The princesses were great, except right before Jasmine was about to come to our table, she got pulled away from a CM and she left the dining room! I guess she had to catch Aladdin on the magic carpet! :goodvibes Anyway, both times were good experiences. It's a great atmosphere to at least experience it once if you haven't.

Yes, I do remember the cold cuts and cheese as well. :)

We had lunch in May. Had a great meal. The appetizer was a chilled marinated chicken, a salad, cheese and grapes (all very good ). My husband had the porkloin and I had the major domo. Didn't think I would like the domo as much as I did. I chose it because it was something different. DD5 had chicken strips. They let her substitute for the sweet potato chips- yum!. DD's dessert was an ice cream sundae with a chocolate crown. We did not have a (blueberry buckle" as they have on allears.net. We had a warm chcolate/ cream cheese "muffin type thing" with chocolate ice cream. It was really good. Our picture package was nice, all of the princesses were great and our waitress even took our camera over to where the princesses were hanging out for the wand ceremony and took a group shot. We paid OOP even though we were on DDP. We didn't want to waste 2 TS credits when the cost was just a little more than a regular TS. Have a great trip!

I booked this today!! We are going to lunch on our last day of our trip.

Does anyone have pictures from your dining experience you can share? I would love to show my little girl :)
