I know this question has been answered before, but I can not find the previous post.

What time do the restaurants in the park close? If the park closes at 6pm, are the restaurants still open? We would be looking to eat ideally at around 6pm as have 6 little ones with us and want to make the most of the time we have in the park.

We will obviously make reservations in advance before we travel, and have booked the half board option. Does anyone have any recommendations for eating with children between the ages of 11 mths and 9 yrs?

Lots and lots of questions to come, planning this trip is turning into a real nightmare!!!!!!:scared:

I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that for the table service restaurants in the park, the latest you can arrive to be seated is one hour before the park closes.

AFAIK that's correct :)

When the park closed at 6pm recently, the only place to get a seating at 430pm or later was Silver Spur or Blue Lagoon. This may of course change depending on crowd levels, etc but was a little frustrating.

So, please excuse the dumb question.

At what point do they turf you out from the resturants then?. I mean, if they seat you up-to an hour before closing, is that based on an idea that you'll have been wined and dined about 1 hour AFTER closing? - thus giving a 2 hour window?.

I suppose the question is - if the park closes at - for example - 18:00 (as is current) - when exactly do they look to close the resturant?

Hopefully you get the idea of my ramblings...

Thanks

Iain

they were turning away walkups at 17hrs. I think that the goal is to have everyone leave by 18hrs, but they don't force you out

So it sounds like play your cards rights, and you could have 'exclusive' access to Main Street (be it a closed main street) as you exit after your meal!

On our last night during our stay over October half term, we booked a table at the Silver Spur restaurant. The park closed at 9pm and the last booking we could have was 7.45pm. When we arrived, a few minutes late, they were turning people away and the place was still quite full. It was gone 8pm by the time we sat down and there was no one else waiting to come in after us. It is a big restaurant and over the next hour it slowly emptied out and the staff cleared up.

When we left, after an excellent meal, in to a very dark park. Everything was closed and there were a few security people walking around, but they didn't try and hurry us out or even point the way to go, so we walked slowly back to Main Street where the shops were all still open and doing a brisk trade.

Despite how close it was to the park closing, we weren't hurried at all in the restaurant and there was no one telling us to make our way out of the park either. A pleasant end to a busy day.

It really is annoying when the park shuts at 6pm. I know at some off-peak times it is really quiet but 8pm should always be the earliest it shuts.

If you want your evening meal in the park, you end up back in your hotel at half six with very little to do.
