OK I made some of my great garlic/butter/lemon sauce for seafood yesterday. You let it simmer until the garlic gets all carmely or however you describe it, its so good you can just eat the garlic. But now my entire body smells like garlic :rotfl2: And yes I have had a shower, does this happen to anyone else when eating garlic?

Oh yeah, one of the hazards of marrying into an Italian family. :rotfl2:

Sometimes you just gotta sweat it out (just not at the gym, that's just cruel to everyone around you!)

No not me :lmao: Actually I think it smells kind of good, but I'm not sure if anyone else would :goodvibes

But I'm fairly certain I am in no danger of being attacked by werewolves at present

I work for a manufacturing company that cooks millions of pounds of garlic. We all reek of it here even though the corporate offices are a half of a block from the manufacturing facility.

I try never to go anywhere after work. There's nothing worse than standing in a line (at the store, bank, etc) and you hear people behind you saying "do you smell garlic? spaghetti sauce?" and you know it's the fumes wafting from yourself.

I think the dry cleaning employees draw straws as to who has to wait on me when I show up with my weekly pile of work clothes.

See my tag, the 3rd one down :thumbsup2

When I was in high school, at the beginning of science class we all rubbed a cut clove of garlic on our forearms in an experiment. By the end of class, we all had garlic breath!

Wow! Do you eat and like garlic? I imagine I may have an aversion to it if I had to smell it all day!

OP - yes when I overdo it eating garlic especially homemade Cesar salad my husband always tells me the next day that I reek of garlic. He never does though, wonder why some do some dont.

OP - I totally feel your pain. When I eat garlic, it seems to come out my pores. Poor DH - he can totally smell it and the smell of garlic is one of his triggers for migraines. So, I try to lay off of it. But it's so delicious!

Weird thing is when Dh and I both eat garlic, he doesn't smell like it, he doesn't get a migraine, but he can still smell it on me the next day. Weird, huh?

Not me, but my brother does. Man oh man, you can tell when he's had the Italian Garlic Supreme at Round Table. The smell just bleeds out of him!

For me, it's when I eat fish. Especially when it's fried. The smell doesn't come off as strongly as garlic I don't think, but it still makes me feel gross. :worried:

I love LOVE the taste of Roasted Garlic - at the Yachtman's Steakhouse last week I had the onion roll with the Roasted Garlic spread - it was heavenly. It does unfortunately take a good day to sweat it out but it's so worth it. If I eat too much I get major stomach issues though, so I try and limit it to just a few cloves.

It happened to my DH last summer. He was using so much of it that he was sweating it out and boy did it reek! He didn't believe me until a co-worker (and friend) mentioned it to him at work one day. He cut back drastically on the garlic after that and hasn't had a problem with it since.

It's noticeable enough that mosquitoes will steer clear of you. If you hate mossies like I do, it might be worth eating garlic regularly. Within moderation, so your friends don't steer clear of you as well.

The best/worst is the Papa John's garlic butter. It is delicious.

But once, I accidentally spilled some on a tablecloth, and oh, it was terrible. The smell would not go away, and just lingered and lingered, and seemed to get worse as the day went on. It took like 5 times through the wash before you couldn't detect the garlicky smell.
