My dh, my ds10 and I are staying onsite at RPR and have booked the WWHP package through Universal Studios. My question is about reservation times for the Three Broomsticks resturant. I made our reservations for the latest time available for the Sunday we will be visting there. I thought doing Olivanders and possibly FJ as soon as we got to the park and eating last was a good idea. Any thoughts or suggestions. We have never been to Universal, so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. We are going Oct 15th through Oct 21 and hoping to avoid the HHN. We are thinking also about staying a couple days at the beach and are thinking Treasure Island. Any thoughts or suggestions or tips on that as well would be greatly appreciated. One last question- staying onsite gives you preferred seating at some resturants. which ones? Thanks

I would definitely say go to Ollivanders and FJ as soon as you arrive to avoid the lines. If you are only going to IOA in October, you will not have to deal with HHN since it's only in the Studios. You can get preferred seating at any table service restaurant in CityWalk or either park. Just show your hotel ID card.

We will be in IOA May 21-23. I called today to try to book a reservation at The Three Broomsticks and the Universal dining line told me that The Three Broomsticks didn't accept reservations. It was first come, first serve. Was I misinformed?:confused3

I believe the reservations are for the people that book the Harry Potter packages.

The Three Broomsticks is a counterservice restaurant that does not take reservations. People who purchase a special onsite package do get to reserve a time at the restaurant however. I believe that it's only for breakfast.

Thanks for your help. Any advice on Treasure Island or Clearwater Beach?

If you're heading to Florida's west coast, I'd suggest Ft. DeSoto for your beach (St. Petersburg). My favorite in the region.

But you can't really go wrong with Treasure Island.
