I was wondering if there is in fact a picnic area at Seaworld? Someone told me that there was. I hope that is the case since we can then take a couple of sandwiches but I am not holding my breath. :) Thanks.

there were plenty of benches to sit and hsve a snack when we were there. I highly recommend bringing something. Two years ago we got 1 kids pb&j meal (smuckers crustable, small bag of chips, small drink), one salad (also small) one sandwich with chips one water, one beer. $63.80!!!! oh, I forgot, one side order cookies, too:rolleyes:

Almost had a stroke!

There is a huge picnic pavillion that's used for school field trips, company parties, reunions and such, but I don't think it's open to the public.
There's plenty of shady outdoor seating, so you should have no worries if you brown bag it.

Lots of the SW restaurants have outdoor seating areas also. Truthfully, no one would stop you from sitting at one of the tables at a snack stand and eating the sandwiches you brought with you. (I'll just put on my flame suit right now as I'm sure I'll get some negative comments for this. )

Just to let you know, there is a Sea World forum right here on the DISboards, so you can get lots of planning info for your trip. You can find the SW forum here:

I hope you enjoy your trip.

Thanks so much for the help. I figured we would just throw a couple of sandwiches in with no trouble. Holy cow, $68.00 for that little bit of food? :scared1: Now I will for sure be taking in a pb&j. ;) Also thanks for the seaworld link. I have not ever been there so any help is good help. :thumbsup2

for our souvenier book, just so that I remember not to make THAT mistake again. Sea World is alot of fun. Enjoy!

We were just there a month ago and brought small insulated lunch bags and had our lunch outside of the Kraken. We always bring lunches for the kids, and on this last trip we even did for ourselves one day as I was SO sick of high-priced, unhealthy food...We just find a bench and eat!
