We plan on eating around the world showcase in Epcot since we will stay there for a whole day and we tend to get bored half way through the day. We figured eating is entertaining to us so why not try food?

Just curious as to what some of you like to eat at each country? Any and all input is appreciated!!!

Carts, counter services, etc only please! :flower:

We all love the rice cream at Kringla og Bakeri in Norway, so we begin our tour of the WS there. Normally, I also can't resist an open-faced turkey sandwich there as well. However, on my last trip I discovered the Matsu No Ma Lounge in Japan, a very quiet, relaxing little place that has excellent tempura vegetables with rice and miso soup (great quality soup, though I'm really not into fish). They may also offer sushi, but I can't remember. I hope to try Restaurant Marrakesh (or for counter service, Tangierine Cafe) in Morocco next time, and DD wouldn't be able to leave without stopping at France's Boulangerie Patisserie. I've tried to cap off my day with a sit-down dinner at Le Cellier, but really couldn't do the fabulous steak justice as I'd already eaten so much. Yes, we do tend to order much more than we could ever hope to eat, and leave VERY full, but boy, is it fun! :)

I did this my last trip and boy was it fun and fattening!!!! I love the fish and Chips in the UK,any pastry in France,Baklava in Morocco,Kaki Gori and Udon Noodles in Japan. Nothing else stands out for me!!!! happy eating!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Mmm...a favorite topic of mine. Here are my must have's, all from counter service or carts, no sit down's for us when we're eating around the World.

Mexico--Cantina counter service--churro or burrito, both are good
Norway--bakery--absolute MUST is the School Bread and Almond Pretzel
China--Lotus Blossom counter service--egg rolls if hungry, otherwise we skip this one
Germany--counter service--brat, but take off the roll b/c it's not soft enough for our liking
US--we skip this one
Italy--tiramisu from little cart
Japan--we skip this now, didn't care for the food at their counter service the one time we tried it
Morroco--Tangerine Cafe counter service--if really hungry we'll have a platter of something, it's all good!
France--bakery--always have plain cheesecake and sacristian, and then for good measure we'll pick out something new to try as well
England--counter service--fish and chips
Canada--would you believe we've never eaten here???

we also snack & have full meals around world showcase at the cafes & restaurants, which is our favorite place to eat at wdw, so much variety.

I'm curious about this too as we plan to try this when we go in 3 weeks...
one snack (inexpensive) per country.

In my research the genereal consensus seems as such..

Mexico : churros or margaritas (I hate margaritas so I'm going to try a churro)
Norway: Veiled Maiden or lefse bread
China: the egg rolls or red bean ice cream.
Japan: the shaved ice or the candy lady (Miyuki)
Germany: the bavarian pretzels or Apple Strudel w/ vanilla sauce
Italy: the tiramesu or the gelati
France: anything at the bakery. I've heard nothing but good things
Uk: the fish and chips.
Morrocco: the baklava
US: the funnel cake
canada: the pretzel breadsticks since the beaver tails are gone.
