DH and I are going on a long weekend trip end of May and we plan on trying different snacks and drinks in all the different countries in Epcot. We have never done this before so I'd love some advice. What are the best snacks/drinks in each country? Also when it comes to Mexico, I CANNOT drink Margarettias :crazy2: so another option would be good. ::yes:: TIA

We do our best to drink our way around the world each time we go. My husband drinks beer nearly 100% of the time, but I go between wine and beer. Here's the menu if he was going:

Mexico: Dos Equis Lager
Norway: Carlesburg (the only option now that Rignes is no longer available). Great baked goods too.
China: Tsingtao
Germany: Lowenbrau (used to be Becks). This is also a great place to get hammered as they have 4 or 5 different kinds of shots including Jaegermeister). Get a German-style pretzel with the beer.
Italy: Peroni. Very good wine and pastries also.
The American Adventure: Sam Adams. Pretty good beer, but pales in comparison to the rest of the 'world'
Japan: Sapporo
Morocco:They have some beer called Casablanca which is NASTY
France: 1664 - suprisingly good. You can also wine-taste here.
United Kingdom: Where to start? Try Stella Artois if you haven't, but they have the best half-and-half's (Guinness and Harp). Try them in a half-yard. The only full-service bar in the 'world'
Canada: Moosehead Lager (used to be Molson products, but they got pulled when Molson changed their labels - they were deemed offensive)

Just be prepared - drinking around the world isn't for the faint of heart - if you make it, it's 11 beers in a day...

LOL! :rotfl: I guess you could just share? :sunny:

I have this list from when we were there in August with out friends. We ate/drank our way around the world, but shared much of this. Also, I don't know the beers the guys were drinking -- just the wines, fruity drinks I had.

Mexico – Fiesta Margarita (a layered mango, strawberry, pina colada and lime margarita)
Norway – Viking Coffee; Rice Cream; Candy = Smorbukk
China – Egg rolls
Germany – Wine tasting in the back of the shop – Valckenburg Madonna (a sweet honey flavored wine); Candy = Reber chocolate
Italy – Italian Margarita (made with lemonciello); Lemonciello (lemon liquor); Banfi Rosa Regale - a sweet, red sparkling wine; Bellini (peach & champagne drink); Candy = ALL OF THEM!
America – Funnel Cakes
Japan – Sake / Plum Wine tasting bar (don't remember the name, but it was the most expensive Sake being sampled and it was delicious!).
Morocco – Tangerine Daiquiri
France – Kir Royale (Crème de cassis – blackcurrant liquer – with champagne);
Suaternes wine (a really sweet dessert wine)
England – Welsh Dragon (like a midori sour with a mint finish); Strongbow Hard cider
Canada – Inniskilllin Ice Wine @ Trapper Bob’s

I didn't think they served Stella Artois in the UK? It is a Belgian beer after all? :confused3

They do serve it actualy. They used to serve Tennents too, which is Scottish.

I do wish that the food offerings from these parts of the world were a little more exotic. I get so much of a "been there, done that" feeling when I go through there. Am I too worldly or are they just trying to appeal to the masses? (Probably the latter.)

I mean, French Onion soup at Chefs de France...wow, now that's a big adventure! ;)

I enjoy the Strawberry Margarita & a churro in Mexico, but my favorite drink in the "World" is the Tangerine Daiquiri in Morocco - it's delicious!! ::yes::

I didn't know about the Italian Margarita - my hubby always stops for an Italian beer & a cannoli (since he's Italian ;) ) - I'll have to check this out next time. :)

As for trying to drink in all 11 countries in one day - it never happens with us. :upsidedow We usually both enjoy a couple of tasty beverages on different days. We find it more enjoyable this way. We are really looking forward to our first Food & Wine Festival this Fall - should be a lot of new snacks/drinks to try out. :)

I know how this is going to sound, so excuse me, but drinking (and eating) around the World is my FAVORITE part of Disney! Especially the Food & Wine Festival, EVERYONE should go to that at least once!! ::yes::

Although, I do tend to drink every other coutry (or just keep running back to France for more Champange :worship: ). My fiance keeps the pace though, and sticks to beer.

I apologize for the wrong order . . .

Mexico: Fiesta Margarita / nachos
Norway: ??? go on the ride while your still "with it"??
Germany: Lowen Brau (OctoberFest if they have it) / pretzel and Harbo
Gummies!
China: Mai Tais (souveneir Chinese boy/girl glasses, so cute) / Peking Ravioli
Italy: any of the wines, grappa / Fettuccini Alfredo
Japan: Cold Saki (comes in cute Bamboo sake glasses) / spicy tuna roll
America: Sam Adams Cherry Wheat / fennel cake
Morrocco: not sure / beef shish kabob, lemon chicken, hummus
France: Thienot Champagne / cheese plate, any of thepasteries!, onion soup
England: Strongbow Cider / Cadbury Chocolate
Canada: Molsen / Chedder Cheese Soup

Have Fun!

True. I'm not sure what Caffney's is, but they serve that as well.
