Am confused!! :confused3
To quote from the Eurodisney website:-

In Disney® Village, at Café Mickey.
Lunch/dinner: from 12noon to 11pm.
Disney Characters presence: 12.15pm to 3pm and 7pm to 10pm.
Prices (valid until 2nd April, 2009) :
Adult £21
Child £11

What does this price include? Anyone know? Wanting to pre-book a table for lunch. Is this a fixed menu? Do we have to have it or can we just pre-book a table and choose from the menu when we get there?

Thank you, Aly :flower3:

Think I've worked out the set menu :woohoo: from the stickey Restaurant reviews at the top. Any recommendations from anyone who has chosen from it?

Do you pay in advance for it? Also, my two (3 and 5) are fairly small eaters. Do you think I could just order one kiddies set menu and then they share it or would this be frowned upon?!!

Anyone know what the 'surprise' is included on the kids menu?

Thank you (again) :flower3:

You don't have to pay in advance to book a table at Cafe Mickey, you can just reserve a table, choose off the a la carte menu, and then pay after your meal.

However, if the menu on the £21 pay-in-advance set menu appeals to you, that would seem to be a good price for Cafe Mickey.

I can't answer the question about buying one childs meal to split between 2 children, sorry.

Oh, and the "surprise" if I remember correctly, is a little plastic item, a mini pen, or a toy of some sort.

Hello.

Yes you get to choose from the set menu. There's a good choice though. You get a starter, main and dessert and 1 free soft drink (unlimited refill for th ekids though). The kids suprise is the same as at many of the DLP restaurants its a small drawing pad toy thingy with colouring pencils (cheap tat but it keeps them amused whilst waiting for dinner).

It is better to pre pay for the meal. You will need to pay the full price for each person requiring a seat. Ie pay for 2 adults and 2 kids so you get a table for 4. They are fine to give side plates for infants (under 2/3) but it is generally frowned upon to not pay for each child themselves. Plus the kids dessert is a sweet / cakes / sugar lovers ultimate fanstay cart and they "may" insist both kids cant go up if you just pay for one meal. Plus you'd only get one toy and one drink. In all for the extra £11 I think it's save you a lot of possible hassle to just pay the proper price for a meal each. You only need one jobsworth cast member on the day and it'll all be hassle and comotion and probably a bit embarassing for you.

Oh and the kids drink come in cups with straws and lids which you can take home and re use.

Good idea to book a time. If you book the meal in advance this doesnt gaurantee you a table time, so you have to call the dining reservations line. Giv eyour name and date and time you'd like and they will give you a reservation number and time for your table.

The number to call is:

00 331 60 30 40 50

Hope this helps,

Lisa.

The meals at Cafe Mickey are very big.
I am a big eater, but can't finish a 3-course meal there, so now I only order a main course. This might be cheaper than pre-paying the set menu and only eating half of it.

Thank you lisa for all these details.
I have some questions:
How can you prepay for your meal?when you book from your hotel you give your visacard and your meal is paied?
and WHY is it better?

Can you call that number from the hotel? or it will be too late to book a lunch 1 day in advance.

If you've booked with Disney direct you can pre-book and pre-pay some character meals by adding them to your package and if you're from the UK this is a definite advantage at the moment with the current exchange rate.

If you haven't/aren't able to do this then you just pay at the restaurant after your meal.

To book a table you can either telephone in advance on the number Lisa gave or else book when you arrive, either through your hotel concierge or through City Hall.

Lunch is quieter than dinner so hopefully you would be able to book the day before but if it's really important to you to eat there then I would book further in advance for peace of mind. :)
