We had a great time meeting and chatting with the current manager, Jeff, at Big Thunder BBQ earlier today. He stopped by our table when he noticed my Club 33 baseball cap that I was wearing. He asked about our experience there so I told him about my special birthday lunch there last September. Then he says he was the manager at Club 33 back then up to the remodel. We talked about the changes and he shared the tidbit about how the Club couldn't keep the elevator in working order as it wouldn't be ADA compliant by today's standards. I told him that makes sense but that it's still sad that it's no longer operational.
Anyway, he said he's enjoying his new gig and he wishes more guests were familiar with the BBQ so they would have even more patrons. They're working hard to keep the prices down as the costs of meats keep rising and they're working to improve upon the ribs and make it more tender.
I promised him that I'll do my part in promoting it. So, for those of you who have been asking where to eat or whether to try Big Thunder Ranch BBQ, I say go. The only downside is you're guaranteed to be overstuffed with all that yummy food. I personally like dipping the BBQ chicken in the beans but that's just me.
