Easy "Buckeyes" Recipe? (Do I have this right?)

I recently read a recipe for Buckeyes that sounded too easy to be true. So since I have lost the written recipe, just remembered it, can you tell me if this works or have I forgotten something?

Take 1 12oz bag of peanut butter chip and melt them carefully in the microwave. Stir til smooth. Fold in 1 can vanilla frosting. Mix well. Chill til easy to handle. Roll into small balls, and dip halfway into melted chocolate candy melts. Chill on wax paper.


Is this just too easy? Help!!

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter
1 lb. confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1 large pkg. chocolate chips
OR
10 squares of semi-sweet baking chocolate
1 block paraffin, if desired

Directions
Combine peanut butter, butter, confectioner's sugar, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. When well-combined, form into small balls to resemble Buckeyes about an inch or less in diameter. Melt chocolate in the microwave or in top of double boiler (do not boil water), and add a block of paraffin, if desired. (The paraffin will help the chocolate solidify.) Stir the chocolate mixture frequently.

Use a toothpick to dip the balls of peanut butter mixture into the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion on the top of the Buckeye uncoated to form the "eye". Gently, with a spoon or your finger, rub out the small toothpick hole in the "eye". Place the Buckeyes on waxed paper on a cookie sheet and refrigerate or freeze until set.

Buckeyes may be served at room temperature, cold, or even frozen. They make much-appreciated gifts during the holiday season for your friends, family, teachers...EVERYONE!

For a little crunchy variation toss in a handful of Rice Krispies with the peanut butter mixture. The kids love these.
