Easy Bake Oven.....

Will I have trouble finding one of these closer to Christmas? Are they really popular this year?

Back story - we're going to visit my family for Christmas and rather than buying it here and trying to take it on the plane ($$$) or ship it ($$$), I'd like to buy it there. But we won't arrive until 12/22. Will I have difficulty finding it at a local retailer?

Why don't you purchase it online and just have it shipped directly there? I cannot imagine waiting til the last moment to try to purchase it. Running from store to store trying to find one?

Just about every place is offering free shipping.

BTW, there are a lot of websites out there that have recipes for easy bake ovens so you dont have to keep buying the mixes. Just google "easy bake oven recipes"

Can someone in the family pick it up for you? That way it's there waiting for you and you can just relax. I really try not to go to the stores that close to Christmas. And what will you do if you can't find it?

I have seen them at a lot of places. I wouldn't worry too much.

Its the mixes you need to worry about. Don't buy the oven without them or its no good! Anyway, love the idea of ordering it online, thats the easiest way. I walked into Walmart yesterday and right at the entrance, there were tons of them. (brought back fantastic childhood memories, even bought my sons one in their childhood and they LOVED it for years, but I digress). So just make sure if you order online, order a few mixes to go with it.

ya, but thats no fun. Half the fun, as a kid, is popping open those ready made packages and just adding water. Making your own? No way. Thats not the way my sister and I did it .

2tbs mix to 1tbs water
Mix cake mix and water. Place in greased toy cake pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Makes 1 serving
