Eastern Time Zone is for the Birds!

I'm in Chattanooga on training for work this week. I am from the Central Time Zone, so I have had to adjust an hour forward for this time zone. It is 7:30 and it is just now really starting to get daylight!! That just isn't right!! I'm used to it being bright sunlight at 7am!!!! UGH! I'll be glad when I get home!

I hear you, flying west is SO much easier on your body clock then going east. When DH's work trips required trips east, our 'late' nights in the hospitality suite schmoozing customers usually ended around 10 or 11. When we go west those nights are easily 1-2 am.

I hated that when I lived in Eastern time zone. I am glad to be back to central.

Hmmm, Chattanooga must be a popular place for training this week as my DH is there teaching a traning class, lol
Fortunately, we are already on Eastern time so the getting up at 6 am is okey dokey with him.

The benefit to the Eastern time zone is that it is still light out at 6pm here in the winter! Meanwhile, my sister in LA said that it gets dark there by 5. Yuck!

I love the tv time here in the Eastern time zone. I can get all the kids in bed and watch "grown up" shows starting at 9. The kids are all still running around at 8.

It's not really an Eastern Time Zone thing. If you want early sun rises, check out Maine.

The big factor in sunrise times isn't what zone you are in, but whether you are in the Eastern part of the zone, or the Western (North/South also plays a small role).

Tennessee has folks in the far Eastern part of Central Time, and far Western part of Eastern Time Zone.

That makes sense. I am in the western part of the eastern time zone right now, but when I get home, I will be in the eastern part of the central time zone LOL. And my sweet sun will rise early and all will be right with the world... well at least for a week until I have to come back!

I guess I am the only one who likes Eastern time especially in the summer when the sun sets after 9:00pm (East Tennessee). There is nothing more depressing to me than being in Nashville in the winter and the sun sets between 4:00-4:30. To each his own I suppose.
