Hoping to book on the wonder for one of these . whats the difference? how do you pick? and why?thanks ºoº

Will be no problem which ship you'll pick. Only the Magic goes to the Eastern or Western Caribbean.

We chose the Western for our first Disney 7-night because it stopped at Key West, Fla. , a place we always wanted to visit. Also because of Cozumel, Mex. where our daughter had never been. Great time was had by all.

The Wonder does the 3 and 4-night cruises.

My vote is for the Eastern. We liked the extra at sea day and the ports. We will be trying the Western in Jan 06. So which ever you choose you will be back to do it again, but I would go with the Eastern.

here's a thread recently about this very topic....

Can you even book the Eastern 7-day since the new Mexicali 7-nights are going on next summer?

I was looking at allseasons last night and I couldn't even find one. I didn't realize they weren't doing any of these next yr, if this is the case.

Someone help, am I messed up!?

you can't book for an Eastern during the summer months, but before May/June and after beginning September .... book away

My vote is for the Western. We wanted to have three ports to visit and we made the most of all of them. Is your family the type to want to do alot of "stuff" or more the type to want to hang out on the boat or relax on beaches? We went all over Key West - saw all of the sites and wished that we had more time because the Pirate museum closed before we could get to it. We loved Grand Cayman - sting rays, Hell and Turtles and had a blast at Chankanaab Park in Cozumel - Dolpin Swim, snorkeling, etc...

Have done both the eastern and western cruise and the answer is most definately YES GO!!. But sorry, can't help you on which one is "better."

East: Extra sea day. The islands are visually more interesting ("mountainous" or at least hilly). St. John's on the St. Thomas stop. Usually no tendering in to port. On the sea days/nights you get to be rocked to sleep by the motion of the ship.

West: Extra port day. More watersports in the ports (even though the east has plenty to do). Carlos & Charlies. Mexicalli... buffett. Sting Ray City. The ocean is "calmer" - therefor the ride is smoother (unless there's a hurricanne in the gulf)
