which date do you think would be best for weather and lower total of people on the ship? the week before or the week after thanksgiving? we are planning our 2005 cruise and need some help. thanks for the help:hyper:   :smooth:

Within a 3 week range, you really can't predict which will have better weather. The entire 3 week period could be wonderful, or you could encounter storms....you are right at the end of hurricane season, but they are rare as late as November. As far as total people on the ship, the week after Thanksgiving is generally quiet, and the ship will be all decorated for Christmas (as will the parks). The decorations and Christmas festivities at the parks begin at Thanksgiving.

The decorations and Christmas in the parks would be my reason for choosing the week after!

We are placing our money on the week AFTER Thanksgiving! LOL We will be on the Magic that week.

We sailed on the 11/15/03 Magic and were surprised that they had the Christmas decorations up when we boarded. The tree in the atrium was put up that night. It made things very festive. The drawback is that we don't really want to cruise without the decorations. LOL! We rebooked for 12/4/04 so that we can see the decorations at Castaway Cay this time. :) The ship is normally full every week. There were 850 kids 3-12 on our cruise. It is designed for this however and it never seemed like there were that many kids there...even at the Mickey Pool.
