Hi!

The time is near for our cruise! We're planning on where to go when we reach St. Martin and St. Thomas.

We'd like to take a taxi ourselves to a nice beach. Our kids love to play in the sand and water. We've been to Coki beach last time. Would like to go to St. Johns Trunk Bay this time. Does anyone know how to do this without signing up for the excursion? I can't remember where we went in St. Martin. Any suggestions? Any help would be great!

Thanks!
Deb

we did the excursion but I am sure you can get there on your own. It was the most BEAUTIFUL place I have ever seen. One word of caution on doing it on your own . It does take quite a while to get to St. John , MAKE SURE you are back by 4pm. The ship WILL leave without you if you are not on a DCL excursion!

We got a taxi in St Thomas & went to Magen's Bay. Once we got off the ship, there were tons of taxi drivers waiting to take you where you wanted to go. If you can't find one there, walk 1 block up the Budget Rental place, there were a bunch of them there too (for people who wanted to rent a car, but couldn't for some reason or other). I was worried about getting a taxi back to the ship, but there were a lot at Magen's Bay waiting for you to want a ride back also. We were fortunate - our driver took the long way back (guess he was looking for other fares too), but we got to look at the town also.
