Does anyone know when the reception is held on the Eastern Caribbean cruise?

We have cruised before and there have been receptions for DVC members.

We were just on the Eastern Cruise and the Member Celebration was on Sunday @ 10:00. It was actually a lot of fun. There were 2 guides that did a short presentation and then asked trivia questions for prizes. I won this really cool water bottle fanny pack thing but there were towels, photo albums, and some other stuff I can't remember. I can't remember the 2 guides names but they were soooo funny. Even if you didn't know the answer, you still won ;)
When you first go in, you also get a ton of free stuff (DVC visors, member lanyard, cool luggage tags, and mousepads).
Definitely worth checking out. Ours was in Diversions, and MAN, does that part of the boat really rock!
Oh, and they also had pastries and coffee. Very nice!

Do you just mention that you're DVC members when making ressies or do you only get invited to attend if you're cruising on points? Thanks!

We didn't book on points but I know the members that did were recorded. I saw it in the Navigator and just showed and they welcomed us with open arms.
They even send you a thank you note later that day for coming!

It was posted in the Navigator. Also as we were cruising on points there was a voice mail for us the night before. They left a bunch of lit on the bed throughout the cruise.

We were on the Western in October and got red member caps and I "won" a water bottle pouch belt that did come in handy. The wife really wanted the photo album. They did have coffee and pastry, but don't touch the "coffee" (you have been officially warned).

All you have to do is show up. They only notify members traveling on points, since those are the only DVC members DVC knows about traveling. I stopped at the DVC desk on Saturday and was told about the Member Celebration on Sunday. It's also Sunday at 10:00 on Western. I then receive an invitation to the Member Celebration later that evening. They were noting everyone who came in and sent thank you note to all who attended. There were some GREAT giveaways, and great free stuff. Visors, mousepads, lanyards, and luggage tags were out for the taking. The raffle gave away towels, photo albums, travel mugs, and small tote bags. I won a travel mug and answered a trivia question for a tote bag. I really wanted a towel though.... Oh well, there is always next year for that!!!!
