Easter Weekend crowds

We have never been at Easter. This year we will be celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday at Disney on Easter weekend! How are the crowds for Easter? Thank you!

This is from Touring Plans and they are fairly accurate when it comes to crowd calendars:

Impact on wait times Very long lines
Impact on the park(s)/resort All days around Easter are very busy, second only to Christmas. But surprisingly, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday have lower wait times than Good Friday and Saturday
Tips & Tricks Touring plans are mandatory, expect extreme crowds. Epcot is likely your best choice, it handles extreme crowds better than the other parks

Easter weekend is extremely busy. It's the second busiest holiday at WDW

Never again....I have been at MK on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Easter...Easter was the most crowded (Easter Sunday), longest lines. that being said, have a plan, get to your park early and enjoy. Just knowing it is going to be very crowded helps...and FYI...we no longer go during these times...first week of May, first week of February and last week of September are our go to times...

Thank you everyone! We have been at Christmas quite a few times. If we could avoid Easter we would but my daughter’s birthday is April 20th. We have all of our FP’s and ADR’s and looking forward to the trip but not the crowds.

We're arriving Saturday of Easter weekend. Friday and Saturday look nuts, but Sunday is predicted to be quieter and crowds are fairly low the following week on Touring plans. I'm wondering if Easter Sunday isn't going to be as busy this year? It's much later this year and most spring breaks are done. They still have discounted rooms available, which I would be surprised to see if things were totally booked.

We travel when school is out. Easter was our go to week for many years. Last year being the last. It was so busy, just insane. You couldn’t walk by someone or stand in line without someone commenting about it. We were just there for a quick trip March 7-11 & it’s already crowded. Lines for major rides 2 hours plus. Have a plan & manage expectations.

I was thinking the same thing! Since it’s so late in April maybe it might be as crowded.

Quite a few areas do spring break the week after Easter. Ours included. So late this year, oy.

You are going at a good time. It's after the madness that is Spring Break/Easter and weeks before the Memorial Day weekend crowds arrive. That time is one of my personal favorites. Expect moderate crowds since there really is no slow time at Disney anymore.
