Spring Break falls for us next year over the week of Good Friday and Easter. We have never braved a Spring Break, let alone an Easter, in Walt Disney World. For those of you that have gone during this time, can you give the scoop: the good:goodvibes and the bad:scared: . We may have the option of going next summer, probably in early July, but I don't look forward to the heat in July. We just got back from a trip in June, but I think a trip in the spring would be nice. What's everyone think?

We went to Disney World Easter week in both '98 and '00. It was crowded and busy, but it was not that hot. I'd rather go at a comfortable time of year than in the steaming hot summer. You're going to be waiting in a lot of long lines, both in July and April, so pick what weather you'd rather deal with!

I'm having the same problem choosing between Easter week and Aug. DH is a professor and will have spring break the same week as the kids next year. That never happens. We don't do well with the heat. We're leaning toward Easter b/c our last trip in March had wonderful weather, but I know it willbe crowded then.

We have been in Disney the last two Easters and have found it quite enjoyable. The weather was beautiful. We go down on Good Friday and stay the week after. I'm not sure how much that affects attendance. By using FP and EMH we manage to do all the major attractions with a half hour wait or less. The parks are open very long hours so if you go very early/very late the crowds are much more manageable. We usually go early in the a.m. and get done what we can/want and head back to the hotel pool at lunch. We head back out to the parks around dinner time. We are also very laid back about Disney and we go with the attitude of "What we see, we see. What we don't, well, we'll be back." I think this is also helpful. If you are the kind of person who really needs to see and do as much as you possibly can and will be dissatisfied if you don't get every ride in, then this may not be the time for you.

FYI....we also went the last week in June last year and I didn't see too much of a difference in the lines and the heat and humidity were unbearable.:scared1:

We just went this past Easter and the weather was just gorgeous! Sure, it was crowded, but we hit the parks early and relaxed in the afternoons. Parks were open to 3:00am some nights! We did a lot and had a great time!

Our only real choice is the week before Easter next year - I subscribed to Tour Guide Mike to help deal with the crowds. I am sworn to secrecy, but after reading some trip reports from fellow Tour Guide Mike devotees - I have to say that I'm not that worried. Now if only the resort prices were the same during Spring Break as they are in January ...:rotfl:

Having been there in both April and in the end of June I so would go in April anytime!!!! It was way to hot and humid in June and just as crowded if not more crowded.

Easter is early next year, in March. How is March for swimming in Florida? We were there once in early March, years ago, but I don't remember what the water was like (before kiddos came along, but I do remember laying out by the pool).

I believe much of the state of TX is going to be on break that week. I think it's going to be crazy busy! We've done Spring Break at WDW or DL for the last 5 years, but plan to skip next year because it coincides with Easter.

We've gone to Disney at Easter for the last 3 years. Although the crowds are large, we are still able to do everything we want too and the weather is beautiful. We are planning to go Easter 08 as well.
